The Art & Project archive can be accessed for scholarly research. This requires official permission, for which the following route is used:
Written requests with clearly defined purpose can be addressed to Patricia Alkhoven, Head of Collections. Requests or Ton Geerts, Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art and will be considered within three weeks.
After positive assessment and evaluation of the requested inventory numbers with a view to openness and availability, an appointment for consultation can be made.
Artist books described in the library's database (RKD Library), which belong to the Art & Project archive, also require permission. After obtaining permission, the books can be consulted by appointment.
Not publicly available (until 2061) are:
-Address information: inventory numbers 208,967, 337
-Parts from section finance ( B.4:) ): inventory numbers 250, 262-264*, 267-269, 275-276, 287-336, 437-439
-Part of section correspondence (A.2): inventory numbers 17-74, 191-197.
N.B. concerns data on purchases and sales.
-Parts from incoming letters(subsection B.5.3) and artists' files (subsection B.5.1):
N.B. Concerns financial records , purchase and sale data, personal correspondence, address data.
- Personal/Private archive (section F): inventory numbers 1155-1156, 1161, 1164-1169, 1171-1177, 1179-1180- 1181, 1199, 1202, 1367, 1383-1384, 1379, 1394-1396, 1399-1403, 1434
- Art & Project Collection/Depot VBVR (section G): concerns correspondence and financial documents
*Inventory numbers 2064, 1403,1434 are closed until 2071
